Burt's Bees, the natural care product company started in Maine, is now in line to be purchased by chemical maker Clorox. The company's namesake product, chlorine bleach, produces dioxin (which is linked to cancer and reproductive disorders) when it is manufactured. Wonder if the lip balms will now promise to whiten our teeth (and our digestive tracks) too?
